Back into the swing of things with a review of the upcoming palette from Urban Decay, Naked Honey!!! The company just released the newest member of the Naked family and this time ..... you are not going to believe this .... seriously ... you are not ready ...... there are NO oranges and reds in Naked Honey...
I will give you a moment to take that in... Ok!!! Ready???
Sooooo as already mentioned UD chose to welcome Fall with a brand new eyeshadow palette and what could be more fitting than another iconic Naked member...
This time the palette takes inspiration from the ever-busy honeybee and brings us an assortment of golden, brown and yellow tones in both matte and metallic finishes...
Let's start off this review with the packaging... Sturdy plastic in gold colour with the name of the palette on the front resembling the honey's ripples... Contains 12 eyeshadows, a mirror and a double-sided brush that actually works!!!

Lately, beauty companies tend to prefer monochromatic looks, thus, pretty much every collection in the past few months had a specific shade as the leading star and accompanying hues from the same colour family... I mean it does makes makeup easier but it can become somewhat boring... What do you think???
On the other hand, gold is a must makeup trend for Fal and Winter so Urban Decay definitely struck, oh well :P, gold with the release of Naked Honey!!!
♥ Flyby: pale yellowish gold with a satin finish
♥ Sweet: matte light peach
♥ Swarm: matte light orange
♥ Amber: molten warm gold with a metallic finish
♥ Keeper: matte light warm brown
♥ Golden: bright metallic yellow-based gold
My only issue is that Swarm and Sweet will appear almost the same on the eyelid... I would either prefer a brightening shimmery shade for the inner corner or another transition hue...
None the less, the formula is nice - although I nit drier than the other Naked palettes - with good pigmentation and excellent duration...

With over half of the palette having matte/satin finish you can go sideways either creating a pretty day makeup look but with a few twists, you can transform the same look for a night out...
♥ Honey: metallic gold - eyeshadow topper
♥ Queen: dark brown with olive undertone and micro-shimmer
♥ Hive: matte light brown
♥ Hive: matte light brown
♥ Drip: matte warm brown
♥ HBIC: warm metallic copper
♥ Sting: matte deep brown
I have a confession to make... Sting let me down soooo bad... It does not have the depth I wanted it to have so keep in mind that you will need to build up the colour... The other matte shades worked smoothly and blend themselves so easily... Last but not least expect a bit of fallout from the metallic shades - which is the case with most metallics anyway - ...
So what do you guys think??? Did it worth your attention??? I mean yes it is another neutral palette and there are plenty out there... But it was such a relief that it does not contain any reddish tones... Not everyone looks good in oranges and reds...
XOXO
..... Just your typical beauty sinner.....
