Huda Beauty - Nude Obsessions Palettes |Review| EN

Of course, when it comes to nude eye shadow, there is not really a trend to talk about... It is all about what nude stands for and what it means to every one of us... Every woman should own at least one nude eyeshadow palette but not every nude is the same and not every nude will suit all skin tones... 

That is where Huda and her excellent knowledge of skin tones come in... She wanted to make sure that each and every one of us will have her perfect nude palette to travel with... But are the Nude Obsessions really that worthy? 

The inspiration came after the creation of the New Nude Palette... Essentially, what Huda did was re-invent the nude make-up trend and also set the bases for what nude really is... That is when they realized how difficult it can be to find your perfect nude... Most nudes for darker skin tones look straight up brown on fair ladies and vice versa, very pale nudes can look ashy and concealer-like on chocolate skin...

So of course, Huda had to curate three of these palettes, one for light, one for medium and, lastly, one for rich deep skin tones... Like the other Obsessions lines, i.e. the Jewels or the Neons, the Nudes have become so popular and you just can't buy only one... That is why I got all three!!! Let's jump right into them... 

PACKAGING

Unlike the first smaller Obsessions palettes that were made out of hard cardboard, the newer collections have a plastic body that clicks shut and also contains mirrors... In addition, the Nude Obsessions have a leather-like top which looks stunning but I reckon it will get dirty like no one's business... 

Each palette contains 9 shades in multiple finishes... Especially, in the Nude ones, you will find 5 buttery mattes and 4 incredible shimmers... 

Light Nude Obsessions

Starting with the fairest of them all we have the Light palette... Curated for fair to light skin tones... An array of peachy, champagne, mauve and light brown hues perfectly balanced with cool and warm tones... It kind of reminds me of the New Nude Palette more than any other in this review though... 

Medium Nude Obsessions

Probably the most beautiful palette and oh so Fall appropriate... Includes some spicy cinnamon tones along with deep browns and luscious mauves... My utter favorite!!! 

Rich Nude Obsessions

Last but certainly not least, for my chocolate brown ladies out there the third installment is composed bu dusty roses, rich berries and deep brown metallics for that extra kick of drama... 

As you can see from the swatches these eyeshadows are so pigmented and easy to blend out... The metallics have minimum fall out which is expected... Although the Huda formula runs a bit stiffer and perhaps even drier compared to other companies, personally I never had any issues... 

Formula wise the matte eyeshadows are notoriously drier but still manage to work flawlessly on the eyes... The metallics and shimmers are almost like wet and yes like almost every other metallic they do tend to have a bit of fall-out... Nothing major though!!! 

So final verdict??? First of all, do not let the names and your skin tone sway you from buying any of them (or all of them hehe)... They will work on every skin tone no matter what... Huda is known for her quality products and the Nude Obsessions did not fail to maintain that quality...
